it's today!!
seems like we've been waiting forever and it's finally here!
conversely, it seems like our plans from months ago were just yesterday and it's already here!
taking a break from packing right now, about to get back at it (i'll be working in superspeed, considering the little packing that's been done on my end)
we've got snacks, we've got entertainment, we've got portable accommodation
now all i need is to find my travel documents (ahh!!)
we've still got a fairly open itinerary as far as sites to see within provinces
so let us know which places we MUST SEE or restaurants at which we MUST EAT or things we MUST DO while we're in nova scotia, new brunswick & pei
Sarah in oakville has recommended the bottle houses in cap-egmont, pei, as well as kensington's haunted house (with great review)
Ozhen in montreal suggests we see the hopewell rocks in new brunswick
we want to hear from YOU, so keep the suggestions coming!
à la prochaine

ONEMORESLEEP!
Okay! This is it!
We are less than 24 hours away from taking off!
And we have an addition to the team! Please welcome Mel, my best friend and our honorary family member, along for the ride.
Are you ready girls? This is about to get: e p i c !
So far to add to the list of things we'd like to do:

So far to add to the list of things we'd like to do:
- split crow bar in Halifax
- whale-watching in Nova Scotia
- haunted house in Kensington, PEI
And we're still open to suggestions as to anything else you think we should do!
As for the tasks at hand.. wish us all the best luck in getting 3 girls, their clothes, their tents and sleeping bags, snacks and drinks AND two guitars into my little Stella.
And we'll talk to you again once we're out on the open road!

compass points..
alright, the suspense is over - a decision has been reached!
i know you've all been waiting for this (and by all i mean our dear, loyal readers. all two of you.)
we know which direction we're heading!!
on a related note, it turns out we're more than a little broke
and going out east is a shorter (read: cheaper) trip
so we're giving fair warning to Atlantic Canada:
WATCH OUT MARITIMES - HERE WE COME!!
more updates to come as we establish our route
=> this is your time to send us your thoughts and experiences regarding must-see destinations, landmarks, great restaurants, and any activities or festivals in the region!
so far we're looking at North Cape, PEI, for the seafood platter at Wind and Reef Restaurant
recommended to me by my seatmate on VIA, a traveller from out East en route from Montreal to Colborne, on her way through to cottage country
lovely lady, and i'm sending out a thank-you (although i didn't catch her name)
beyond that, we're hoping to build an inukshuk at some point
and there are plans to release books into the wild throughout the duration of our trip
check out www.bookcrossing.com to see what i'm talking about, and to go hunting for books in your own area
the lyrics for Aerosmith's Amazing stated that, "life's a journey, not a destination"
which is good, because we don't know where we're going.
